Anna McMullan, Project Manager, joined esc in December 2017 after qualifying with a Master’s in Construction Business & Project Management. “I joined as a Junior Project Manager with lots to learn and, through both a breadth of projects and guidance from my fellow colleagues, I have certainly done that.”
Anna continues to act in an assistant Project Management role, working with senior team members to deliver exciting and challenging projects such as the representation of Hillsborough Castle & Gardens and Methodist College, Belfast – her old school!
More recently, esc has given Anna the opportunity to lead her own projects. “I am currently working on the design and delivery of a new Library facility in Enniskillen and a Shared Space/Creative Hub which will be part of an extension and refurbishment of Bushmills Courthouse. The Bushmills Courthouse project is particularly exciting for me as I have an interest in historical architecture and to be afforded the opportunity to work on a project which will restore a building initially built in 1863 is great!”
At esc Anna is afforded opportunities to learn, develop and progress in her career. “As a Project Manager I am involved from the initial Client meetings to project completion; it is very rewarding seeing designs become buildings.”
Anna loves this Greek proverb: ‘A society grows great when we plant trees in whose shade we will never sit’. “This may seem a little philosophical,” says Anna, “but I think working in the construction industry gives us an opportunity to make this a reality.”
