After an extensive consultation process with a diverse group of stakeholders, the design of a new modern school building and sports facility at St Louis’ Grammar School in Kilkeel has been agreed, much to the delight of the school and local community.
The mainly 2-storey building, to be built on the existing school site, will accommodate 860 pupils and will offer panoramic views of the countryside and Carlingford Lough. Changing rooms and PE accommodation on the first floor includes a terrace area for spectator viewing over the GAA pitch.
It is expected that construction will be undertaken in four main phases to minimise disruption.
