As part of our ‘Creating Places for the Next Step in Education’ series today we’re looking back at The Verena Holmes Building at Canterbury Christ Church University – an innovative home for the University’s Science, Technology, Health, Engineering and Medicine facility.
The building provides a dynamic environment designed to inspire new approaches to teaching, learning and research.

Continuing our ‘Creating Places for the Next Step in Education’ series, this week we’re looking at some of the post-primary schools and colleges esc construction consultants has helped to deliver.
Today, we’re showcasing Holy Trinity College, Cookstown – a modern three-storey school designed to accommodate 1,300 pupils. Centred around an impressive courtyard, the new college also features single-storey sports and technology annexes and a full-size 3G GAA pitch, creating an inspiring environment for learning, development and recreation.
Through our Project Management and Quantity Surveying expertise, we’re proud to help deliver modern, inclusive and sustainable educational spaces where pupils can learn, develop and thrive – now and for generations to come.

Today, as part of our ‘Creating Places for the Next Step in Education’ we’re looking back at Ulidia Integrated College in Carrickfergus – another significant project that the esc construction consultants team is proud to have helped deliver.
Built on the college’s existing site, the state-of-the-art, three-storey building provides 43 modern classrooms for up to 700 pupils.
The new college offers much more than additional teaching space, with a 3G pitch, basketball court, grass pitch and enhanced PE facilities, alongside a Technology and Design Suite four times larger than the previous provision. A dedicated Sixth Form Study and Wellbeing Space, new library and improved parking and drop-off facilities further enhance the experience for pupils, staff, families and the wider community.

As we bring our ‘Creating Places for the Next Step in Education’ series to a close, we’re looking back at four more projects that demonstrate the breadth of education facilities esc construction consultants has helped to deliver.
The pioneering Limavady Shared Education Campus – the first of its kind in Northern Ireland – created shared STEM, sixth-form, careers, drama, media and learning-support facilities for St Mary’s High School and Limavady High School.
At St Joseph’s High School in Crossmaglen, a new 9,607sqm school and dedicated sports facilities, including a MUGA and 3G pitch, provided an outstanding modern environment for pupils, staff and the wider community.
Our work at Methodist College Belfast involved the sensitive restoration and extension of the Grade B1-listed, 150-year-old Old School House, preserving its historic character while preparing it for future generations.
At South Eastern Regional College Bangor campus, the Performing Arts & Technology Innovation Centre, known as SPACE, delivered high-specification teaching and training spaces, alongside cutting-edge facilities supporting business and industry.
From primary schools to major secondary/high schools, higher education projects and university campuses, we’re proud to have supported the delivery of modern, sustainable and inclusive education environments that continue to benefit pupils, students, staff and communities.
While this brings our education series to a close, our work in the sector continues. We’re currently supporting the delivery of several exciting education projects and look forward to sharing more as they progress.
