The South West College Erne Campus in Enniskillen has been highlighted in a new in-depth case study by Mosart, showcasing how the pioneering educational facility has become a world-leading example of sustainable building design.
The impressive 8,200 square metre curved campus holds the distinction of being the world’s first educational building to achieve Passivhaus Premium rating, while also currently ranking as the largest building globally to hold this prestigious certification.
The Erne Campus has set multiple precedents in the construction industry, becoming the first UK building to simultaneously achieve both Passivhaus Premium status and BREEAM Outstanding accreditations.
The building’s exceptional performance has earned international recognition, with the campus being designated as one of only 26 UN Centres of Excellence for High Performance Buildings worldwide.
